Restoration isn't a rush job

Classic cars deserve patience. Whether it's a full bare-metal restoration or targeted panel and paint work to bring a tired classic back to form, we treat every vintage vehicle with the care it's earned.

We work with the metal, not against it. Original panels are repaired wherever possible — replacement is a last resort. Period-correct finishes, not modern shortcuts. The goal is a car that looks like it did when it left the factory, not one that looks like it was restored last week.

Classic restoration services

Every classic is different. Here's the range of work we handle — most restorations involve several of these.

Panel Straightening

Traditional metalwork techniques to reshape original panels. We keep as much factory metal as possible — it's part of the car's story.

Rust Repair

NZ's coastal climate is hard on classics. We cut out rust properly, weld in new metal, and treat surrounding areas to prevent recurrence.

Period-Correct Paint

Matching original colours from manufacturer records. Lacquer, enamel, or modern basecoat/clearcoat — whatever's right for the era.

Chrome & Trim

Re-chroming, trim restoration, and badge refurbishment. The details that make a classic look right.

Bare-Metal Strip

Full strip-back for cars that need it — revealing what's underneath and building a clean foundation for restoration.

Partial Restoration

Not every classic needs a full ground-up job. Targeted panel and paint to address the worst areas while keeping costs sensible.
